Our office is at Calle Dr. Ferran, 13, 46021 Valencia. From there our interpreters go with you to the notary, your lawyer’s office, the Registro, the police station or the Oficina de Extranjería, and to medical appointments at the health centre, the hospital, a private clinic or the dentist.

Can an interpreter come with me to the notary when I buy a property?
Yes. In Valencia an interpreter can go with you to the signing at the notary, and to the meetings before it with your lawyer, the estate agent or the bank. In other cities we arrange an interpreter based there or connect one remotely. Tell us the date and the notary’s address when you ask for a quote.
Do you provide interpreters for doctor and dentist appointments?
Yes. In Valencia we go with you to appointments with your GP, a specialist, the hospital or the dentist. For appointments elsewhere in Spain we can interpret by phone or video call.
Can you help at my police or Extranjería appointment for my NIE or TIE?
Yes, an interpreter can go with you to the appointment in Valencia. If the office asks for your documents in Spanish, check whether it requires a sworn translation: we provide sworn translations by MAEC sworn translators.
When do I need a sworn interpreter?
At courts, notaries and contract signings. A sworn interpreter appointed by Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC) gives the interpreting official character. Courts can also appoint any person who knows the language, under oath (Civil Procedure Law, article 143), and at the notary the person who does not understand Spanish designates the interpreter (Notarial Regulations, article 150). Ask the court or the notary what they require.
What is the difference between simultaneous and consecutive interpreting?
In simultaneous interpreting the interpreter translates in real time from a booth while the speaker talks; it is used at conferences and large events. In consecutive interpreting the interpreter translates after each speech; it is used in meetings, negotiations, court hearings and short speeches, and needs no equipment.

As an indication, a professional or conference interpreter costs on average 100 € per hour, 500 € per half day and 800 € per full day. To accompany an individual (notary, immigration office, doctor, dentist), rates are usually 60–100 € per hour.
